Is it possible that there could be a connection between my country roots and my favourite (but somewhat neglected) hobby??
Cosmo Cricket has a line of scrapbooking paper called Wanted which I've always liked. It's a great combination of western ruggedness with an antique class (A friend of mine even made her wedding invitations out of it). They recently had a post on their blog about the line that had some good ranch advice. Some of you may be able to relate.
Here are a few of my favourites:
Good judgment comes from experience, and a lotta that comes from bad judgment.
If lawyers are disbarred and clergymen are defrocked, shouldn't it follow that cowboys would be deranged?
The biggest troublemaker you'll probably ever have to deal with watches you shave his face in the mirror every morning.
Timing has a lot to do with the outcome of a rain dance.
Live a good, honorable life. Then when you get older and think back, you'll enjoy it a second time.
Behind every successful rancher is a wife who works in town.
And my favourite:
Don't squat with your spurs on.
That one gives quite a visual, eh??!
You can find the blog post here if you'd like to see more.
