Pics from the Farm

Just a few pictures of Gracie at the farm. I obviously need to clean my camera lens.... I'll have to edit these to clean them up some night.

Apple-Eater

I've noticed that nothing is mine anymore.

I can't even eat an apple, without Gracie wanting a bite.

Gone are the days of a dry apple, and an empty lap.

I don't mind.

Boo at the Zoo Part II

More pictures of Gracie in her costume, in case you didn't get enough.

Thank you digital cameras, for allowing me to take way too many pictures!

Now, for a cute story:

A few weeks ago, I had to drop Gracie off at Brad's office for an hour while I went to an appointment. I was explaining this to her as we were driving, while she played in the backseat. When we pulled up, I parked and said, "Are you ready to go play with dad?" When I turned around, she had a toy under each arm, and one hanging out of her mouth.

She was ready.

Boo at the Zoo

Gracie and I went to Boo at the Zoo here in Edmonton and had quite a bit of fun. There were a ton of kids in costumes running around which Gracie enjoyed, and we even got to see a few animals perform.

The seals put on a show, splashing and playing fetch and came right up to the kids and the elephant stomped on pumpkins. Pretty fun.

Here's my little monkey taking in the festivities.

Mac and Josh's wedding

We went to a beautiful wedding last weekend when we were in Lethbridge. Brad's cousin Mac married Josh at the Galt Museum. It was so nice. The museum is all glass walls overlooking the coulees and they had all kinds of little extras that made the wedding really nice.

-complimentary flip-flops for the ladies (and a few brave men)

If you can get past Tara's air guitar, you might notice the cute lime green flip flops

-time capsules for one year, five years and twenty-five years of marriage (you could answer questions about what the couple would be doing at the time or give advice)

-a treats table (where you could fill a bag full of goodies that were black, white or green-their wedding colours)

-their thank you gifts were decorated tic tac tins which you shook to get them to kiss (much nicer than the jarring clink, clink, clink of wine glasses)

-their champagne flutes had hibiscus flowers in the bottom and the sangria came with cute unbrellas

thanks Tara for modelling for us, again.

And a few snaps of the wedding dance:

Here's Mac's lovely dress

Why do I need to always get sucked into the line dance?

Gracie's Third and Final Birthday Celebration (Until Next Year)

We celebrated Gracie's first birthday for the third and final time in Lethbridge on Saturday.

Monkey cupcakes for the jungle theme.

Broc, Steph and Kale enjoying the cupcakes.

Gracie knows her way around a cupcake now, no more hugging it, it goes straight to the mouth.

Jack would like another cupcake, please.

Opening more gifts. Lucky, lucky girl. We're going to have to keep some of these for a halfway to Christmas surprise.

She loved this shirt from Auntie Nicole. Had to hold it up to show everyone what it would look like on.

....and this giraffe cabbage patch doll from Auntie Sam.

The boys liked their goodie bags, especially the masks and whoopie cushions (thanks mom, they were a hit)

Another celebration over. Time to put away all the goodie bag toys and the decorations for next year and eat the leftover cupcakes :)
